U.S. stocks traded higher midway through trading, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining around 1% on Thursday.

The Dow traded up 0.80% to 49,543.16 while the NASDAQ surged 1.03% to 23,714.62. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.74% to 6,977.92.
